Located in Lakeland, Florida, just Northeast of Tampa and a bit Southwest of Orlanda is where you'll find us enjoying life at Assisi Clumber Spaniels.
I have been involved in Clumber Spaniels for 12 years, getting my first Clumber in 1995. My goal is to help the breed by giving careful thought and research to any breedings I do, breeding to maintain the Clumber Spaniel's wonderful temperament and at the same time improving any weaknesses identified in the Clumber gene pool. I have and promise to maintain a high level of integrity, not only in what I produce in my kennel, but with the people who become owned by one of my Clumber Spaniels and who help me with my program. I promise each person or family: Once you are owned by an Assisi Clumber Spaniel, I will be available to you for any questions which you have and to provide assistance when you ask for help. It is my promise to help you be the best possible Clumber Spaniel owner that you can be because I want your Clumber Spaniel ownership be a great experience. So many people helped me when I became an owner/breeder. My foundation stock came to me from Ronnie Watt's Nonsuch Kennel in South Africa, from Hilda and Paul Monaghan's Tweedsmuir Kennel in England, and from Helen Marshall and Otto Wahl's Shogun Kennel in Dousman, Wisconsin. I am an active member in The Clumber Spaniel Club of America and currently serve the membership as the Club's Secretary, the Clumber Spaniel Fanciers of Michigan, and the Williana Clumber Spaniel Club. Ch. Leybel Vagabond, our Beloved Bond who was bred by the late Maybel Hall in England, was Bill's hunting buddy and the two were featured in the Animal Planet program, Breed All About It. I invite you to take a look at theClumber Spaniels at work and at play here at my website and in person when you can. So as we say here in Florida, "Come on in and set a spell!"
